The Loop Stitch!

If it's ever been possible to be in love with a stitch, this is it. I'm a smitten kitten. I am head over heels. I am in L-O-V-E. That's it for me, THIS IS THE ONE. I am putting a ring on it.

The Loop Stitch is so versatile that you could literally use it to make a handbag, a super-chic jacket... or dare I say even a rug? YES. That loop stitch. I decided to make a scarf once I stumbled upon this one. 

In my mind's eye I visualized myself walking the streets of New York in a sleek leather jacket with the perfect pair of skinny jeans and leather boots. I could almost hear the determined clacking of my boots as I assertively walked the well-worn pavement of my vivid fantasy. I imagine myself, hair slicked back into a neat bun with my sunglasses...a country girl blending in with the urban and oh-so-cultured style of the Big Apple. Then I snapped out of it, especially since I could hear the chickens just outside my kitchen window clucking away at just about the same speed as my reality had begun to settle in once more. Still, the momentary escape was fun.

So, I came up with this little scarf...though she measures out at 65" long and 4½" of deliciousness. She's an ample, sassy lady!

                 

 

I had so much fun making this that I added a demonstration of how to do this stitch to my Youtube Channel. I've added the video to this blog post so that you can check it out too.
