Mason Jar Tea Cozy and Canning Sleeve...

They say necessity is the mother of invention, and I do certainly concur! What canning has taught me is that eventually you will end up with tons of jars, which can end up looking not as adorable as you'd hope. Often you want to gift some of your delectable jam or soup, but why give someone a gift in a simple jar when you can up the ante and give the jar a little pizzaz? I found myself in just this predicament when I wanted to gift someone some of our farm fresh dehydrated eggs, but the jar underwhelmed me. So there you have it: your necessity and your invention.

This cute little fella needed to be something that could cover the jar well but also be versatile enough to transport easily. So, I added a handle...and suddenly I thought about all the iced sweet tea I plan to be drinking over the summer. Yep, straight out of the mason jar...and the handle makes it super easy to do. Adding a pop of color, via the beautiful AQUA yarn I just love it. Looks cute, fresh, and better still it really does work well. Because it's crocheted, it can be used again and again with no issues. I even formatted the pattern so opting to go without the handle is effortless.

So, get your soup on! Or, your tea...or whatever it is you hope to do with it!! Cheers, friend!!

From my heart to your hooks,
Ellie.
